Junior Progressive Position Air Pistol National Championships will be taking place July 7-9 at Anniston, AL. PPP is a fledgling program that the NRA and USA Shooting have produced to encourage the development of young pistol shooters. Competitors are divided into three categories, Basic Supported, Standing Supported, and International (One Handed) Standing. This program encourages competitors that would otherwise be deemed too young for pistol shooting to learn and develop skills as they encounter physical development. For more information, please check out this informational booklet at http://issuu.com/compshoot/docs/pppbrochure. The PPP rule book can be found at http://www.usashooting.org/downloads/2010_ppp_rules2.pdf.
For directions on how to build a T-stand (to be used in the Basic Supported Position and/or in the Standing Supported Position), check out: http://www.usashooting.org/downloads/Z%20PPP%20Counterbalance%20T%20Stand.pdf.
To sanction a match, visit www.usashooting.org and download the form from Resources-Downloads tab, then under the Competitions section.
