2006 National Air Gun Team Championship and Training Summit Redmond, OK
July 5-9, 2006
Imagine being invited to compete amongst the very best air rifle/pistol shooters from NRA state associations and other national junior shooting organizations.
All qualified local organizations will receive an invitation to send one four-person Junior Precision Team, a one four-person Junior Sporter Team, as well as a three-person Junior Pistol Team. The championship is funded by the NRA Foundation, Inc.

equipment + firing the shot + keeping a shooter's diary + training plans + rules + new equipment + mental training + sectional matches + and much more....
|
Rifle and Pistol Matches Whatever your preference, we've got you covered. Teams in all three disciplines will get a chance to vie for top honors, and learn how to become better athletes in the process. |

Just Getting Started Learn more about Competitive Shooting Call NRA's Competitive Shooting Division at 703-267-1450 and ask for your copy of NRA's Guide to Competitive Shooting ($5.00).
NRA's Guide walks you through the main shooting disciplines, explains basic terminology, and tells you where to go for more information. |
Coaches Can Benefit, Too We'll show you how to do even more... Coaches will learn more about how to improve fundamental shooting techniques and positions, how to apply for grants and program funding and qualification programs. |
| The only dumb question is the one you never ask, so there's your chance to meet coaches from around the country, talk shop, and discover new ways to maximize the potential of your shooters. |

New to the competitive shooting realm?? Then give NRA's Excellent Performance Awards (EPA) program a shot.
Designed for competitive shooters of all ages, the EPA program offers shooters incentives to develop their skills in competition. The six awards in the EPA program are designed to help a shooter progress from marksman all the way to the master class.
As long as you compete in a tournament in which your scores can be verified by an NRA Instructor, Coach or match bulletin, you're good to go. In fact, your EPA qualifying scores don't even have to be fired sequentially, so a bad target or two won't set you back.
Call HQ Moody, NRA's National Coach Trainer, at 703-267-1401 or e-mail him at hmoody@nrahq.org for more information. |
