2008 National Air Gun Team Championship and Training Summit Des Moines, Iowa
June 25-29, 2008
The 2008 NRA National Junior Air Gun Championships will take place in Des Moines IA on June 25-29. The Air Pistol portion will be held in conjunction with the USA Shooting NRA Progressive Position Air Pistol Championship in Anniston, AL on July 16-17. The NRA Championship will pit the best position air gun shooters against each other for National honors. The five day event will determine the Junior National 3-Position Individual and Team Champions to include the Top Gun Award to the best state association in all three air gun disciplines.

TRAINING SCHEDULE The Education and Training Division is developing an interesting and exciting training program for shooters and coaches. These programs are designed to help shooting skills and provide program information. |

HOW TO RECEIVE AN INVITATION: Each state association may be represented by a four-person team for the sporter and precision disciplines, and a three-person team for air pistol. Each national shooting body, such as 4-H, VFW, American Legion, etc. may send a team in each discipline from each state.
The top three precision and sporter individuals and teams in the Nation from Junior 3-Position Air Rifle Postal Match will be invited. For more information, visit: http://www.nrahq.org/compete/postals/junior3p-air.pdf.
The top twenty individuals in both sporter and precision air rifle and the top three teams in each discipline in the Nation for the NRA Indoor National Championships (or Sectionals) match will be invited at the expense of the NRA. BARTER BAR: On Friday evening each team is encouraged to bring items - from patches and pens to magnets and hats - from their state or community for trading at the "barter bar."
