Excellent Performance Awards

NRA Excellent Performance Awards offer all shooters incentives to develop their skills in competition using various courses of fire.

Excellent Performance Awards are open to all competitive shooters.

Six different Excellent Performance Awards (from small bronze pins to the large gold pins) may be obtained through the National Coach Trainer for each course of fire offered.

Qualifying scores for these awards must be fired during competitions under appropriate rules as defined in the competition program. Guns, equipment and targets as allowed by the rules of the competition.

Qualifying scores can be verified by any NRA Trainer or competition official. Only scores fired in competition or sanctioned leagues may be used. Any type of formal competition may be used to earn the small pins, but only scores fired in a sanctioned competition may be used for the large pins. Scores fired for one award may not be used for another.

Shooters who fire a qualifying score at a National Championship event automatically earn their next award.

Scores fired do not need to be sequential. A shooter may fire a qualifying score, followed by a non-qualifying score, and then shoot another qualifying score-both qualifying scores count. All shots for each score must be completed on the same day (except multi-day smallbore prone events).

Pins are available only through the NRA National Coach Trainer. Small Pins cost $3.00 and the Large Pins cost $3.50 (postage and tax included). There is a 10% discount for orders of 10 or more of the same type pin.

Brochures for each of the major disciplines can be downloaded below.

NRA Staff is available to help you get started and to answer any questions. Call (703) 267-1401.
