Do you have a storefront, mail-order or phone-order business? You know that NRA members are intensely loyal to the Association and naturally prefer to patronize businesses who support the NRA.
Through the NRA Round-Up Program and The NRA Foundation "Shooting for the Future" program, you can help your customers support either the NRA or The NRA Foundation.
It's a mutually beneficial arrangement -- a win-win deal for you, the NRA, The NRA Foundation, the shooting community and future generations.
In the store, by mail or over the phone, the programs are easy for retailers and customers alike. The way they work is simple: After totaling up your customers' purchases, you simply ask if they'd like to "round up" their purchase to the next-higher dollar amount -- or "add a buck for shooting's future" -- and contribute the difference to The NRA Foundation. Periodically you total it up and send The NRA Foundation a check.
In return for collecting contributions, you may use the logos above in your advertising, correspondence and invoices.
High-volume mail-order businesses can generate significant funds over the years this way. You may be familiar with Midway, USA, whose CEO, Larry Potterfield, conceived the Round-Up program. Since 1992, through the Round-Up, Midway has generated nearly $1.5 million. Other businesses like Dillon Precision and Brownell's have collected truly significant sums from their customers over the years.
Hundreds of storefront gun dealers also participate using either a collection device on their counter (for which we provide program identifying decals) or special non-taxed items in their cash register software to collect the contributions.
Enrollment in either program involves execution of an agreement to license you to use the logo and program name (both of which are intellectual property). Upon enrollment, you'll receive camera-ready logo(s) for your use in newspaper ads, Yellow Page ads, correspondence and receipts. For your convenience and to ensure prompt, accurate processing of your customers' contributions, you'll also receive pre-printed mailing labels. These will expedite the receipt of your checks by the NRA Office of Advancement and the crediting of your business for the amount contributed. We'll also provide some collection and accounting suggestions from businesses in this and similar programs. We also publish a newsletter at least twice a year and provide special recognition for program participants at the SHOT Show and NRA Annual Meetings.
So become a part of the team by enrolling in the NRA Round-Up Program or The NRA Foundation "Shooting for the Future" Program today! Because a little change can change a lot.
