NPSC Practice Match

Date: Sunday, September 20, 2009

Location: Shooting Range Park Police Pistol Combat Range

Cost: $6 per relay

Schedule: Requests have been made to add Zeroing Relays to the Practice Match day so that competitors can check their zero at 25 yards and 50 yards and make any adjustments required. Under direction of range officials, competitors will be allowed to fire the number of rounds they choose during the time allotted to fire. Shooters will then be allowed to inspect their target and after all shooters have returned from downrange, allowed to handle their unloaded handgun and make any necessary sight adjustments. Another firing period will then be provided, repeating the process. Shooters will then move to the 50 yard line and the process repeated to check 50 yard sight zeros.

Practice Match Relays firing Match 5 and Match 4 are scheduled before and after the Zeroing Relays as listed below.

Target Lane Assignments: Competitors who purchase Practice Match Tickets in advance may select the numbered target lane they desire to shoot on.

Competitors who purchase Practice Match Tickets on-site will be allowed to choose from any remaining unassigned target lanes.

Practice Match Ticket Purchase: Practice Match tickets may be purchased by calling John Jackson at NRA Law Enforcement Competitions at 703-267-1635. Calls should be made between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. Payment must be made by credit card at time of purchase. Practice Match Tickets will be mailed to you, so you have them immediately and do not have to wait in line to pick them up on-site.

Any remaining tickets will be available for on-site purchase beginning on Saturday September 20th.

Practice Match Ticket Prize Drawing: A practice match prize drawing will be conducted. Prizes will consist of donated merchandise and one firearm. To be eligible for the practice match drawing, competitors must write their name on their practice match tickets and place them in the Practice Match Drawing Box on the range. The names of the winners of the practice match drawing will be posted outside the NPSC Awards Office on Tuesday, September 22.
