Eligibility: Registrant must be (one of the following):

  1. A sworn law enforcement officer, or


  2. A civilian employed by a bonifide law enforcement agency, or


  3. An active duty or active duty reservist member of the United States armed forces.

Additionally, he/she must have successfully passed a recognized law enforcement firearm instructor course, is currently certified to teach law enforcement firearm training, and whose position requires them to perform armorer related work within their organization.

Curriculum: In order for the law enforcement armorer to maintain the Remington 870 line of shotguns and Remington 700 bolt action rifle in excellent serviceable condition, ready for trouble free field performance, and extend it's service life at a minimum cost without the need to exchange servicable parts, he/she must have an in-depth knowledge on the subject of appropriate maintenance.

The Remington Armorer Training Course is designed for the professional armorer, firearm instructor and techincal service personnel. This course provides complete and detailed answers to specific questions concerning the weapons mechanical functioning, operational procedure, stripping, inspection, trouble shooting and maintenance.
Equipment Needed: Eye protection and note taking materials. Students will be required to supply their own Remington 870 shotguns for this class!


These courses, seminars and training schools are being donated by each company as a way of giving back to law enforcement officers. Some of them would normally cost upwards of $1,000.  If you are selected to attend one and circumstances occur preventing your attendance, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can make that slot available to someone else. More of these schools are expected to be added from other manufacturers and training academies during the course of this year.

HOW TO ENTER:  You may ONLY register online.  

There are no official entry forms for this training. Due to the popularity of these classes, participants will be selected by random drawing. Please click on the hyperlink above to enter.  You will be required to supply the following information, (note - any and all information, both personal and professional, are kept completely confidential and will never be shared with any outside sources):  your name, address, phone, fax and email address for both you and your department.  Additionally, your employment and/or eligibility may need to be verified.   Only one entry per person per school will be permitted.

The drawing for each school will take place after the entry deadline and winners notified by phone, fax, email, and/or U.S. mail. Please note that NRA membership is not a requirement for participation in any of these schools.
