Dave Gledhill

Dave began his law enforcement career in 1982 gaining his experience in small arms and tactics while serving as a police officer with both the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C. and the City of Fairfax Police Department in Northern Virginia. While working in Fairfax, Dave served in patrol as both an officer and a Corporal, was a burglary detective for several years and also served as a member of his departments Emergency Services Team, a department firearm instructor/armorer, and as a field training officer. He shot for eight years on the department pistol team where he was a member of the prestigious "Governor's 20" list five years in a row in Virginia, as well as served as a board member and vice-president of the Virginia Police Revolver Association. Dave is a certified handgun/shotgun instructor, tactical handgun instructor, tactical shotgun instructor, patrol rifle instructor, chemical munitions instructor and distraction device instructor. Additionally, he is a certified armorer on most law enforcement semi-auto pistols, shotguns, submachine guns, and rifles. Dave is an active member of International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors (IALEFI), American Society for Law Enforcement Training (ASLET), International Law Enforcement Trainers and Educators Association (ILEETA), National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA), and has been affiliated with the International Association of Credit Card Investigators (IACCI), Special Equipment and Tactics Association (SETA), the Virginia Tactical Association (VTA) and actively writes for the Police Marksman magazine. Jeff Overcash

Jeff is a 10 year law enforcement veteran who has honorably served with both the Charleston, SC and Ft. Lauderdale, FL Police Departments. While with the City of Charleston, Jeff served as a Field Training Officer, Narcotics Investigator, and SWAT Officer. After relocating to South Florida, Jeff served with the City of Ft. Lauderdale Police Department where he was assigned to the Patrol Division as well as their SWAT Team. Jeff has trained extensively with the Department of Homeland Security and other agencies with an emphasis on law enforcement intelligence, anti-terrorism, operational skills, special weapons and tactics, and technical emergency response.
Jeff attended the Citadel where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice/Political Science and later received his Master of Arts degree in Education of Social Sciences and is a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Jeff has been training and competing in the mixed martial arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for eight years having trained with the Relson Gracie Academy and the American Top Team. Jeff is a member of the Florida SWAT Association, the National Tactical Officer’s Association (NTOA), The International Counter-Terrorism Officer’s Association (ICTOA), International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors (IALEFI), International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST), International Law Enforcement Trainers and Educators Association (ILEETA), American Society of Industrial Security International (ASISI), Glock Shooting Sports Foundation, (GSSF), The National Rifle Association (NRA) and is a Glock certified armorer. Robert "Tim" Lose

Tim began his formal firearms training in 1984 when he joined the US Army National Guard. After Cavalry Scout training at Ft. Knox, Kentucky, he later attended the Small Arms Instruction and Range Operations Course and the Master Marksmanship Training Course. He was a member of the Maryland National Guard rifle team for 6 years and the pistol team for 3 years. Other military experience included the Foreign Weapons Familiarization Course at Aberdeen Proving Ground, commanding a Weapon Storage Site Inspection Team while on peacekeeping duty in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mountain Warfare School, and OPFOR assignments at the Army Special Warfare Training Center in North Carolina and at the Combat Maneuver Training Center in Hohenfels, Germany. Awards included the Excellence in Competition Badge (Bronze) for both rifle and handgun. He retired from the Army in 2005 with 21 years service.
In 1990, Tim became a police officer with the Anne Arundel County (Maryland) Police Department. Tim served in patrol as an officer and a corporal, was a CID detective in the Career Criminal Unit and the Robbery Squad, was a member of the department Quick Response Team, and was assigned to the training academy as a firearms and defensive tactics instructor and armorer. He was instrumental in starting the department’s patrol rifle program. He is a certified handgun instructor, shotgun instructor, patrol rifle instructor, precision rifle instructor, select fire weapons instructor, less lethal weapons instructor, and TASER instructor. Tim is an armorer for Glock and SIG-Sauer handguns, AR15 and M16 rifles, and Remington shotguns. A graduate of the US Secret Service Firearms Instructor Training Course, the BATFE Advanced Explosives Investigative Techniques Course, the FBI Defensive Tactics Instructor course, New Mexico Tech EMRTC Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings course, the Prevention and Response to Suicide Bombing Incidents course, and the DoD Anti-Terrorism Awareness Training Course he also served as a hostage negotiator on the Conflict Negotiation Team for his agency. Tim is an active member of the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA), the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearm Instructor (IALEFI), the Mid Atlantic Regional Gang Investigators Network (MARGIN) and was a state representative to the Eastern Armed Robbery Conference. Tim is a member and an active competitor in the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) and has had articles published in the USPSA magazine, Front Sight. Gary “Hoot” Gibson

Gary, known to all as “Hoot,” is a 30+ year law enforcement veteran of the Northern Virginia area, having spent 27½ years with the Fairfax County, Virginia Police Department, retiring in 2008. During his tenure with the Fairfax County Police Department, Gary worked in Patrol, the Criminal Intelligence and Organized Crime Units, worked undercover in Narcotics, as well as spending a total of 17 years, during two separate duty assignments, as a full-time Firearm Instructor/Armorer attached to their Firearm Training Unit. During Gary’s last ten years with Fairfax, he was assigned as the senior Instructor/Armorer and was responsible for basic recruit firearm training, in-service firearm training, tactical and specialty firearm training as well as providing all firearm maintenance and repair for his agency of 1,500 sworn officers. It was during this time that Gary also developed both a basic and advanced precision rifle/sniper program that was subsequently adopted by his agency. These training programs were not only provided to his own agency personnel, but personnel from the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office, Fairfax County Fire Marshall’s Office, Fairfax County Animal Control Office, and numerous other local, state and federal law enforcement agency personnel.
Upon Gary’s retirement, he was recruited by the Fauquier County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office, where he worked as a full-time criminal investigator and agency firearm instructor up until he was hired at the NRA’s Law Enforcement Division. Gary remains a sworn reserve deputy with the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office, where he continues to volunteer his time as a firearm instructor.
Gary has had the benefit of attending some of the most prestigious shooting academies and gunsmithing schools in the country, including Thunder Ranch, Blackwater Training Center, and Trinidad State Jr. College’s coursework for gunsmithing. Additionally, Gary has attended an abundance of other basic, advanced and instructor level, law enforcement-specific firearm-related training classes, including instructor programs from the FBI, DEA and U.S. Capital Police, training simulator instructor courses, Simunitions Instructor, low light instructor classes, less lethal instructor classes, the FBI’s prestigious Sniper/Observer Program and Advanced Sniper Rifle Workshop, and has been certified as an armorer on most every law enforcement firearm platform there is.
Gary is currently a member of the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA), International Association of Law Enforcement Firearm Instructors (IALEFI), International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA), and the NRA.
