- 06/11/07 - Great news -- a special membership offer for law enforcement officers! The NRA Membership Division has lowered the cost of NRA membership for law enforcement officers. Aside from the lower cost of membership, the NRA offers many other benefits to law enforcement officers, such as: a $25,000 line of duty death benefit for public law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty; body armor discount program (available by contacting the NRA's Law Enforcement Division at LEAD@nrahq.org; the Jeanne E. Bray scholarship program; and instructor insurance.

- 02/28/06 - Beginning this year, NRA will handle the registration process for NPSC and will offer several new options that will make this process easier and faster. In addition, a new entry fee schedule will be introduced at the 2006 National Police Shooting Championships. Here's how you'll be able to register this year:
- On-Line Registration.
This program is currently being designed and will be up and running in the next few months. Additional information to follow.
- By Mail. Simply fill out the entry card that is part of your match program and return it to NRA. To receive receipt notification, you will need to provide a self-addressed stamped envelope.
There are additional options on how you can pay your entry fees. In the past, only checks or cash were accepted. We will now accept the following forms of payment:
- Check (personal or company)
- Cash
- NRA Award Points
- Money Orders
- Purchase Orders
- Credit Cards (American Express, Master Card, Visa & Discover)

- 02/13/06 - The NRA Board of Directors, at their last scheduled meeting, voted to approve several PPC rule changes regarding the Stock semi-auto pistol, the off-duty pistol, the Chief Range Officer, and Military police, that were recommended by the NRA Law Enforcement Committee. - 01/07/06 - It is with great pride that the NRA's Law Enforcement Activities Division announces that the National Police Shooting Championships will be relocated this year to Albuquerque, NM. They will take place on October 2-5, 2006 with a practice date scheduled for October 1, 2006. At this time, a regional match is in the works to be conducted at the same range with tentative dates being September 29-30, 2006, again, with a practice date of Septmber 28, 2006. The matches will be conducted at the "State Park Shooting Range" located just outside the Albuquerque city limits off of I-40 and I-25. For more and continuing information, click here.
