For the New or Experienced Huntress ...

The sun is tipping over the trees, and is offering just a hint of light. The world is silent, except for the scratching sound of a squirrel digging for breakfast. You can hear your heart beating in your ears, and willing it to subdue because you are listening for that wily gobbler to give away his location. You take a deep breath and pray to the hunting gods, today is going to be your day. Or is it? Have you prepared yourself, and know what do to if he hangs up at 50 yards, strutting, and calling, but not crossing that shot threshold?

Here's help. The NRA's Women On Target® is offering a women-only Wild Turkey Hunter Clinic/Hunt class. Lifelong turkey hunter and NRA Hunter Clinic Instructor Tom Hindman will be teaching the novice or experienced huntress how to hunt wild turkey. He will teach tips and tricks, and then we can practice them in the hunting field.

The class is open to ladies of all ages who have completed a hunter safety class, and are Pennsylvania residents.

If you would like to attend an NRA Basic Shotgun Course, please contact Denise Conni (703-267-1413 or dconni@nrahq.org) for assistance in finding a local class.

Please bring with you a target showing your shot pattern at 30 yards.

A Pennsylvania hunting license is required to take this course. The cost of a Pennsylvania resident license is $20.00 and can be purchased at a local sporting goods store or by visiting the Pennsylvania Game Commission website.
